About The Trainer

Stefanie Roberts is a trainer with a mission: to make every dog a valued and valuable member of the family. Usually this means training owners as well as their pets. Stefanie’s love for dogs has blossomed into a lifestyle of work and her positive, caring, confident approach to her clients is well known. Her primary focus is helping owners to understand and connect with their pets on a deeper level, which results in a happy pet experience for every.

The combination of veterinary medicine and obedience training offers you a unique opportunity to have one place to meet all your dog’s needs.

Classes

All classes last 1 hour each for 6 weeks except as noted.

Puppy Kindergarten

This class is for any puppies 6 months of age or less. Socialization is stressed in this class as well as other puppy issues such as housetraining, chewing, jumping, etc. Your puppy will learn the commands sit, sit stay, down, down stay, watch me, leave it, come, wait & walk nicely on a lead.

Basic Manners I

This class is for all dogs 6 months or older. Your dog will be taught all the basic social manners that make life run smoothly for you & your pet. The class includes the same commands as puppy kindergarten but with additional polish & reinforcement.

Basic Manners II

This class is for the dog who has graduated from Basic Manners I, toy class or other prior Basic Training. Your dog will learn off-lead heeling, place training, door bell etiquette, and five of the 10 AKC canine good citizen requirements.

Toy Classes

This class is specifically designed to accommodate the special characteristics of the toy breeds. These dogs are incredibly intelligent and learn differently than their larger counterparts. Clicker training and treat training play a part in this class.

CGC (Canine Good Citizen Title)

*** 3 weeks only***
You will learn all 10 requirements for the test and take the test the 3rd week. You will receive a certificate from AKC. This class is a requirement for those who wish to join organizations like Happy Tails.
